Word for the Week from Pastor Fred
Church, let's make this fall a great time for us as we follow the assignments that Jesus gives us. To do that, let me encourage you to be a planner, a planner to be generous. There are three ways we can be generous:
1. With your time. Be generous with your time this fall as you:
a. Serve in a ministry
b. Join a Life Group or ALPHA or Financial Peace University. Join us this Sunday after each service to meet the leaders of each group and sign up.
c. Sign up for a mission's trip
2. With your money. Be generous with your money this fall by:
a. Tithing- giving a tenth of all you receive to the Lord
b. Planning and saving to give an offering on Mission's Sunday. Start now to put something aside each week so you have something to give on September 26th.
3. With your heart and prayers. Ask God to reach people through you who don't yet know Him this fall by:
a. Inviting someone to come to church on September 12th for the fall kick-off service and lunch.
b. Pray for your family, friends, and neighbors to come to know Jesus as their personal Savior.
We are ready for a great time of blessings as we seek God together.
