I refer to myself as a Digital Content Creation Generalist. I can perform tasks ranging from 3d design and animation, to scripting/programming the logic necessary for bringing an interactive vision to life. I acquired these skills beginning in the early 2000’s when I entered Cerro Coso Community College for an AS degree in digital animation.
Since that time I have worked in a local news studio where I learned about non-linear video editing, and story telling in short segments (for news broadcasts). I later worked in the field of web development where I performed a range of tasks including SEO optimization of HTML markup, designing/building an e-commerce system with PHP/JQuery, and a number of digital odd jobs in between. To see more detail about the projects I’ve worked on, you can visit my “archived projects” page.
I most recently completed my BS in Software Development with Bellevue University (2017), which filled in the gaps in my self-tought programming knowledge. Throughout my professional work, I’ve applied the skills I’ve gained to game development with the Unity3D game engine, as well as toying with building my own HTML5 game engine. At this time I poses all of the skills necessary to complete a game, but as life seems to go, I no longer have much time to work with. My game development is mostly active during the Summer months.
Currently, I am a full time teacher at the Center for Advanced Research and Technology (CART), a high school program in Clovis, CA. In my position I am the instructor of an Interactive Game Design class (convenient, right?).
At this point getting my games out seems an inevitability, but what I can’t guarantee is when; so, I use this site to post updates, keep myself motivated, but most importantly, to eventually deliver an experience that you will enjoy.
